The Ministry of Health registers a 41% decrease in the fourth wave of Covid-19 in the country; estimates an active epidemic of 124,734 cases.
At the moment, the Covid epidemic in the country shows a decrease of 41% in the fourth week of the year (January 23 to 29), which has been reported this week by the Ssa.
From the confirmed infections, the agency estimates that there are 124,734 active cases and that 4,471,373 people have recovered since the start of the pandemic.
The national occupancy of general beds in hospitals stands at 35%, one percentage point less than yesterday, and that of ventilated beds, at 25%, without change compared to yesterday.
The health authorities also indicated that within the vaccination program against Covid-19, more than 171.45 million doses have been administered, adding 740,150 during the last day.
Of the 126 million inhabitants, 84.02 million Mexicans have received at least one dose of the vaccine, with which 89% of the population aged 18 and over have received at least one application.Meanwhile, 77.81 million have completed their vaccination scheme against Covid.
